RESOLUTION - Recognizing and honoring Second District In-District City Councilman Dan Fowler of the City of Kansas City, Missouri for his dedicated service and significant contributions to the City of Kansas City, Missouri.

WHEREAS, Councilman Fowler is a respected Northland small business owner and resident of Kansas City, Missouri, who, for more than three decades, served as a business and civic volunteer on behalf of the Northland, so it was natural that those residents would elect him to serve two terms on the City Council of the City of Kansas City, enabling him to further support and advance the community he loves; and

WHEREAS, Councilman Fowler strived to be a sensible voice for the Northland and an advocate for 2nd District constituents supporting projects and policies to strengthen and bring equity in services to the 2nd District; and

WHEREAS, Councilman Fowler served on essential committees during his two terms, his most notable accomplishments resulted from his pro-active, interagency collaborations which tackled blight and substandard housing in the Northland; brought new major developments, community facilities and new employers with thousands of new jobs to the Northland; attracted federal funding for City infrastructure; and ensured the new KCI Terminal would be done on time, on budget, and with workers that were well trained, equitably hired and fairly compensated; NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

That the Mayor and Council hereby recognize Councilman Dan Fowler for his vast leadership, service and contributions in serving the 2nd District of City of Kansas City, Missouri; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the Council in testimony thereof and that a copy hereof be presented to Councilman Dan Fowler, with the appreciation of the Mayor an...
