RESOLUTION - Honoring Rafael Green aka Roccstar Gumbo.

WHEREAS, Rafael Green, aka Roccstar Gumbo, is originally from Clayton, Alabama, came to Kansas City in 1997 at the age of 12 years old, and was raised mostly in a single parent home with other family members; and

WHEREAS, Rafael Green, aka Roccstar Gumbo, knew he wanted to make a difference in the community, so that is what he set out to do. He met his wife, Myesha Williams-Green, in high school. They have been married for 11 years and have a total of 5 children: twins Rayonna and Raevion, Rhaelin, Ryleigh and Royalle Green. His family is everything to him. His wife, Pastor of True Heart Ministries, orchestrates the feeding of the community every 3rd Sunday and goes out every Tuesday to the homeless camps to feed them breakfast, coffee and give out clothing as well; and

WHEREAS, Rafael Green, aka Roccstar Gumbo, started his Brand G.U.M.B.O, which stands for Gifted Undawgz Makin Business Ordinary. Rafael Green, aka Roccstar Gumbo, started this movement with intentions on bringing the less popular to the light. Rafael Green, aka Roccstar Gumbo, is also a licensed professional barber who started his career at Da'Barbershop on Prospect Avenue. Rafael Green, aka Roccstar Gumbo, worked and grinded hard to acquire his own barbershop, currently known as RoccstarCutz Beauty & Barber Studio; and

WHEREAS, Rafael Green, being a true King, wanted to show love to the Queens. That thought lead him to creating the Curves & Confidence Movement. It consists of motivation, beauty and fashion to build up the Queens who might not fit in the regular fashion shows. The 10th annual show is set for late 2023; and
