RESOLUTION - Acknowledging the life and legacy of Cameron D. Lamb and making June 8, 2023, Cameron D. Lamb Day.

WHEREAS, on Friday, June 14, 1996, Cameron D. Lamb was born and transitioned from this life on Tuesday, December 3, 2019; and

WHEREAS, Cameron D. Lamb was reared in a supportive family, baptized as a believer in God, educated in Kansas City, Missouri, a high school football player, Kansas City Chiefs enthusiast, a loving son that grew into a loving father of three boys - Cameron, Jr., Cinsere and Cam’Ron; and

WHEREAS, with what seemed to be an anointing Cameron used his gifted hands and mechanical knowledge to serve others in need of automobile repairs, often with minimal or no charge; and

WHEREAS, when someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure. In our healing we treasure Cameron’s memory by amplifying his loving spirit and gift of service to others and invite all our friends, families, community leaders, local and national government to practice justice, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your Creator; and NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

                      That the Mayor and Council declare and decree that June 8, 2023, is Cameron D. Lamb Day in Kansas City, a day of celebration and service; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the Council in testimony thereof and that a copy hereof be presented to Aqil and Laurie Bey and to the family of Cameron D. Lamb.
