City of Kansas City, Missouri, et al., Case No. 2216-CV01501; Holland v. City of Kansas City, Missouri, et al., Case No. 2216- CV01773; Ross v. City of Kansas City, Missouri, et al., Case No. 2216-CV03284; and Broadway-Westport Property, Inc. v. City of Kansas City, Missouri, et al., Case No. 2216- CV06913; and recognizing this ordinance as having an accelerated effective date.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section 1. That the appropriation in the following account of the General Fund is reduced by the following amount:

Section 2. That the sum of $1,839,572.00 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the General Fund to the following account:

Section 3. That the revenue in the following account of the City Legal Expense Fund is hereby estimated in the following amount:

Section 4. That the sum of $1,839,572.00 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the City Legal Expense Fund to the following:

Section 5. That the City Attorney is hereby authorized to resolve the following cases for the sum of $1,839,572.00 from funds previously appropriated in Account No. 23-7010-131545-B-618200: Elwood, et al v. City of Kansas City, Missouri, et al., Case No. 2216-CV01501; Holland v. City of Kansas City, Missouri, et al., Case No. 2216- CV01773; Ross v. City of Kansas City, Missouri, et al., Case No. 2216-CV03284; and Broadway-Westport Property, Inc. v. City of Kansas City, Missouri, et al., Case No. 2216- CV06913.
Section 6. That this ordinance, because it appropriates money, is recognized as an ordinance with an accelerated effective date as provided by Section 503(a)(3)(C) of the City Charter and shall take effect in accordance with Section 503(a)(1) of the City Charter.
