WHEREAS, for 13 years, Kansas City Restaurant Week has been an annual dining experience to enjoy several regional culinary establishments at remarkable prices. The joint partnership of the Greater Kansas City Restaurant Association and Visit KC, present a great opportunity to support more than 175 local restaurants; and

WHEREAS, this popular tradition has survived some challenges the past years. Restaurants from small, local and national restaurants present an opportunity to support charitable organizations, and serve patrons with the opportunity to explore a variety of options with the exclusive Kansas City Restaurant Week Menus; and

WHEREAS, by establishing and founding Kansas City Restaurant Week the Greater Kansas City Restaurant Association and Visit KC have raised over $3 million dollars for local charities, and in 2022 their scholarship commitment for students studying in the culinary field in Missouri and Kansas was $50,000.00. They also provide over $50,000.00 annually in grants to support culinary program shortfalls in local high schools; and

WHEREAS, Kansas City Restaurant Week is designed to support our local restaurant industry but most importantly to increase awareness and provide financial assistance to local charities dedicated to improving the Kansas City community. Over the 12 years, more than $3 million has been raised for important local causes such as The Don Bosco Centers, Harvesters, BoysGrow, the Children's Center for the Visually Impaired and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Kansas City. It is for that reason that Kansas City Restaurant Week organizers have chosen The Guadalupe Centers as the charitable beneficiaries of 2022 Kansas City Restaurant Week; NOW, THEREFORE,
