Honoring LaVetta Taylor on her retirement after over 28 years of dedicated service to the City of Kansas City, Missouri.

WHEREAS, LaVetta began her career with the City of Kansas City, Missouri in October 1993 under the City Planning & Development Department; and

 

WHEREAS, LaVetta held various positions in Water Services, Aviation, Health Department and most recently, Human Relations; and

 

WHEREAS, LaVetta has been an exemplary employee that completed training courses whenever possible and participated in an Executive Assistant group; and

 

WHEREAS, Ms. Taylor has an infectious laugh and a joyous personality that makes her a wonderful co-worker; and

 

WHEREAS, LaVetta’s profile was published in “Administrative Professional Technology and Procedures;” and

 

WHEREAS,  2021 will mark the end of LaVetta’s career with the City of Kansas City, Missouri and she will be able to enjoy retirement and spend time with her family; NOW, THEREFORE,

 

            BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

That the Mayor and Council hereby extend to Ms. LaVetta Taylor, on the occasion of her retirement from City service, the heartiest best wishes for her future, together with appreciation for her 28 years and 11 months of dedicated service to the citizens of Kansas City; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the Council in testimony thereof and that a copy hereof be presented to LaVetta in token of the Mayor and Council’s respect and high regard, and their best wishes for the long and happy retirement which she so richly deserves.
