RESOLULTION - Honoring Patricia A. Jaime on the occasion of her retirement for over 17 years of service with the City of Kansas City Health Department and over 25 years in other organizations.

WHEREAS, Patricia, better known as PJ, began her career working with children and families in behavioral health, juvenile justice, and runaway and homeless youth programming and is a Licensed Master Level Social Worker; and

WHEREAS, Patricia continued her career with a supervisor position in Parent Coaches with first-time mothers in the African American and Hispanic/Latino neighborhood of Kansas City, Missouri, and later working with the Public Health Ambassadors Program; and

WHEREAS, three years after working at the Health Department, Patricia became a Medical Case Management Educator in HIV Services, training and assisting Medical Case Managers who work with persons living with HIV; and

WHEREAS, Patricia has strong leadership skills, as demonstrated by her service in the Employee Resource Group (ERG) KC Proud, she also serves as an Advisory Board Member for the University of Kansas School of Social Welfare and is an important member of VAMOS KC (ERG), which originally formed at the Health Department as THRIVE (The Hispanic Resource for Inspiraci?n, Valor y Educaci?n); and

WHEREAS, Patricia A. Jaime has been a strong and honorable public health leader in the City, and earned the admiration and respect of the employees of the department and the people she helped through her years of service. Patricia proudly lives in the fourth District of KC, with her partner Sandy, and are members of Church of Resurrection in Downtown; NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
