RESOLUTION - Honoring Autumn Calvert on her 2024 MSHSAA State Championship in Girls Wrestling,

WHEREAS, Autumn Calvert earned first in her Weight Class at the 2024 Missouri State High School Activities Association Girls State Championships; and

WHEREAS, this victory marks the first Girls Wrestling State Championship in the history of Winnetonka High School and North Kansas City School District; and

WHEREAS, in 2023, Autumn placed first in the Missouri Girls Freestyle State and also placed first in the 2023 Missouri Girls Greco State Tournament; and

WHEREAS, Autumn Calvert is a Junior at Winnetonka High School and this is her third year lettering on the girls wrestling team and she is also lettered two years in softball; and

WHEREAS, Ms. Calvert’s record is 56-10 with 37 pins and 6 technical falls; and

WHEREAS, Autumn Calvert is a member of the National Honor Society and Student Council at Winnetonka High School; NOW THEREFORE,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

That the Mayor and Council hereby honor Autumn Calvert on her State Championship in Girls Wrestling; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the Council in testimony thereof and that a copy hereof be presented to Autumn Calvert with the congratulations of the Mayor and Council for her achievement and wishing her the best in her future endeavors.
