Accepting and approving a one year $197,181.98 grant with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services that provides funding for the Maternal Child Health Services program; estimating $27,584.45; appropriating $27,934.45 in the Health Grants Fund; designating requisitioning authority; and recognizing this ordinance as having an accelerated effective date.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That a contract between the City of Kansas City, Missouri, acting through its Director of Health, and the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, whereby the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services will provide funding for programs that address women and children's wellness issues such as injury prevention, for the period beginning October 1, 2021 through September 30, 2022, for an amount not to exceed $197,181.98, is hereby accepted and approved. A copy of the agreement, in substantial form, is on file with the Director of Health.

Section 2. That revenue in the following account of the Health Grants Fund are hereby estimated in the following amounts:

22-2480-500001-472470-G50MCH22 Maternal Child Health Services $27,584.45

Section 3. That the sum of $27,934.45 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the Health Grants Fund in the following accounts:

22-2480-505803-A-G50MCH22 Maternal Child Health Services $27,934.45

Section 4. That the Director is hereby designated as requisitioning authority for Account No. 22-2480-505803-G50MCH22 and is hereby authorized to expend the sum of $148,356.00 from funds heretofore appropriated.
