RESOLUTION - Recognizing the 9th Annual Pure Pitch Rally Day on October 21, 2024.

WHEREAS, the Pure Pitch Rally is the longest-running start-up pitch rally in metro Kansas City, celebrating its 9th year of fostering innovation and entrepreneurship; and

WHEREAS, the Pure Pitch Rally has dedicated significant time and personal resources to strengthening the start-up ecosystem in Kansas City, Missouri, by providing free training and resources to over 72 start-up companies since its founding in 2017; and

WHEREAS, partnering with organizations such as the Kauffman Foundation, the Pure Pitch Rally believes in creating equitable, accessible, and attainable pathways to economic prosperity for people and communities and collaborates with the CAPS Network to empower high school students through the Reverse Pitch Rally program; and

WHEREAS, through partnerships with Justin Reid of the Kansas City Chiefs and his JReid Indeed Foundation, the Pure Pitch Rally sponsors initiatives such as the Tackling Tech Computer Science Camp and fosters collaboration among tech investors through its Land Shark cohort, building a stronger tech investment community across the region; NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

That the Mayor and Council hereby declare October 21, 2024, as Pure Pitch Rally Day; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the Council in testimony thereof and that a copy hereof be presented to Karen Fenaroli with the Mayor and Council encouraging all citizens to recognize and celebrate the contributions of this event in advancing innovation and entrepreneurship.
