COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE

Authorizing the Director of Procurement to execute a $240,000.00 contract amendment (for a total contract amount of $630,000.00) with the University of Missouri-Kansas City to provide program services for Becoming a Man & Working on Womanhood.

WHEREAS, in the 2024 school year Youth Guidance served 346 students in Ruskin High School, Hickman Mills Middle School and Center Middle School; and

WHEREAS, this additional funding will allow this program to continue for another school year; NOW, THEREFORE;

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Manager of  Procurement Services is authorized to execute a contract amendment with the University of Missouri-Kansas City, for $240,000.00, and a total contract amount not to exceed $630,000.00 to provide program services for Becoming a Man & Working on Womanhood. A copy of the contract, in substantial form, is on file with the Director of Health.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
