RESOLUTION - Honoring the life of the Kansas City Firefighter Paramedic Kyle Brinker.

WHEREAS, Kyle Brinker was an 11-year veteran with the Kansas City Fire Department, serving Kansas Citians as a firefighter-paramedic with the Rescue Division at Station 35, one of the busiest areas of Kansas City; and

WHEREAS, Kyle was beloved by his brothers and sisters in the Kansas City Fire Department, serving as a mentor and role model for his colleagues; and

WHEREAS, Kyle suffered a medical emergency during a Kansas City Fire Department training exercise on Tuesday, September 17; and

WHEREAS, Kyle received immediate aid and was transported to North Kansas City Hospital where he passed away at the age of 33 years old; and

WHEREAS, Kyle's untimely passing is a tragic loss for the members of the Kansas City Fire Department who will forever cherish his dedication, exceptional service, friendly smile, and example he set for all those with whom he served; and

WHEREAS, Kyle is survived by his mother and father, his brother who continues to serve as a Kansas City Fire Department Firefighter, and his wife; and

WHEREAS, the Kansas City community sends its condolences to the family and friends of Firefighter Paramedic Kyle Brinker, as well as his brothers and sisters in International Association of Firefighters Local 42; NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

That the Mayor and Council hereby honor Firefighter Paramedic Kyle Brinker and express our deepest thanks for over a decade of service to our City, and our condolences to his family, friends, and fellow members of the Kansas City Fire Department; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the Council in Testimony thereof and that a copy hereof be presented to Kyle Brinker's family to commemorate his life and his service to the Cit...
