RESOLUTION - Directing the City Manager to develop certain plans to repair and improve Fire Department facilities and to identify funding to implement such plans, and to report back to City Council.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section 1. That the City Manager is directed to develop a plan to repair and improve Fire Department facilities, including restrooms and bunk areas of such facilities. Such plan shall include a process for identifying the scope of needed repairs and improvements and the cost of such repairs and improvements.
Section 2. That the City Manager is directed to develop or identify standards for facility conditions across all Fire Department facilities, including for gender inclusivity.
Section 3. That the City Manager is directed to report to the City Council on past deferred maintenance spending for Fire Department facilities over the last 5 years, including how spending priorities were identified.
Section 4. That the City Manager is directed to work with City departments to coordinate services in order to expedite the repairs and improvements to Fire Department Facilities.
Section 5. That the City Manager shall report back to the City Council in one week with a preliminary report on steps being taken to implement this resolution and monthly thereafter.
