Authorizing the Director of Public Works to enter into a design services contract for $230,000.00 with Wilson & Company for the design of curbs and sidewalks along the north side of MLK Boulevard between Prospect Avenue and Benton Boulevard; and recognizing this ordinance as having an accelerated effective date.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY
Section 1. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Wilson & Company in the amount of $230,000.00 for design services in the inspection of public improvements for Project No. 89004818 MLK Boulevard between Prospect Avenue and Benton Boulevard Project from funds previously appropriated to the following account:

25-3090-898301-B-89004818 MLK Boulevard-Prospect-Elmwood $230,000.00

A copy of the contract is on file on the office of the Director of Public Works

Section 2. That the Civil Rights and Equal Opportunity Department, to assure fair representation by socially and economically disadvantaged groups, approved this project, a fourteen (14%) percent representation by Minority Owned Businesses and a fourteen (14%) percent representation by Women Owned Businesses.
Section 3. That this ordinance, relating to the design, repair, maintenance, or construction of a public improvement, is hereby recognized as an ordinance with an accelerated effective date as provided by Section 503(a)(3)(D) of the City Charter and shall take effect in accordance with Section 503 of the City Charter
