RESOLUTION - Honoring Dr. Daniel Clemens for his leadership and dedication in North Kansas City Schools.

WHEREAS, Dr. Clemens has been in education for a total of twenty-three years serving as Principal at Nashua Elementary, Crestview Elementary and Eastgate Middle School then as Assistant Superintendent of Administrative Services and currently as Superintendent of North Kansas City Schools; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Clemens has a passion for providing all kids access to extraordinary educational experiences through pioneering efforts to create equitable and beautiful facilities of which students, families and the community take great pride in; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Clemens is past President of the Greater Kansas City Superintendent’s Association; he is on the board of the Cooperating School Districts of Greater Kansas City and the board for the Missouri State High School Activities Association; and

WHEREAS, Dr Clemens is also involved in our Kansas City community through Northland Neighborhoods, Inc., Northland Regional Chamber of Commerce and numerous other civic organizations; NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

That the Mayor and Council hereby honor Dr. Daniel Clemens for his leadership and dedication in North Kansas City Schools; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the Council in testimony thereof and that a copy hereof be presented to Dr Daniel Clemens with the appreciation of the Mayor and Council for his service and leadership as Superintendent of the North Kansas City School District and his dedication to our Kansas City community.
