Authorizing acceptance from the Missouri Emergency Management Agency of grant funds for the Emergency Management Performance Grant (EMPG)-American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) in the amount of $5,264.23; estimating revenue and appropriating the sum of $5,264.23 to the General Grants Fund; and designating requisitioning authority

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to accept grant funds from the Missouri State Emergency Management Agency from the Emergency Management Performance Grant (EMPG)-American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) in the amount of $5,264.23. The EMPG-ARPA is a 50/50 cost share for supplies for EOC operations. These funds will be used to purchase 2 replacement MOSWIN radios for operational communications and interoperability.

 

Section 2. That revenue in the General Grants Fund is hereby estimated in the following amount.

Section 3. That the sum of $5,264.23 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the General Grants Fund to the following accounts.

   Rescue Plan Act                                                               $5,264.23

 

Section 4.  That the City Manager is hereby designated as requisitioning authority for Account No. 22-2580-105430.
