Transferring funds from the Justice Assistance Grants program from the Kansas City Police Department (KCPD) to the City.

WHEREAS, KCPD receives Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) funds from the City to fund Client Advocate Programs; and
WHEREAS, historically these funds were passed from the City to KCPD to ArtsTech and finally to Client Advocates; and
WHEREAS, the City would like the ability to contract directly with the Client Advocates; and
WHEREAS, the City has collaborated with KCPD to facilitate this request; and
WHEREAS, the general use of the funds will remain the same as designated by the initial JAG application submitted by the City; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section 1. That the appropriated amount from KCPDU Justice Assistance Grant is reduced in the following accounts:
KCPDU-22-2410-212643-619850 Justice Assistance Grant $ 90,000.00
KCPDU-22-2410-212644-619850 Justice Assistance Grant $100,000.00
TOTAL $190,000.00
Section 2. That the appropriation in the following account in KCMBU is increased by the following amount:
KCMBU-22-2410-575301-B-G57JAG19 Justice Assistance Grant $ 90,000.00
KCMBU-22-2410-575301-B-G57JAG20 Justice Assistance Grant $100,000.00
TOTAL $190,000.00
Section 3. That the appropriation in the following account in KCMBU is reduced by the following amount:
KCMBU-22-2410-129997-X-G57JAG19 Justice Assistance Grant $ 90,000.00
KCMBU-22-2410-575301-X-G57JAG20 Justice Assistance Grant $100,000.00
TOTAL $190,000.00
