Reducing the Contingent Appropriation by $1,839,572.00 in the General Fund; appropriating the amount of $1,839,572.00 to the City Legal Expense Fund; authorizing the City Attorney to engage in the resolution of the following cases: Elwood, et al v. City of Kansas City, Missouri, et al., Case No. 2216-CV01501; Holland v. City of Kansas City, Missouri, et al., Case No. 2216- CV01773; Ross v. City of Kansas City, Missouri, et al., Case No. 2216-CV03284; and Broadway-Westport Property, Inc. v. City of Kansas City, Missouri, et al., Case No. 2216- CV06913; and recognizing this ordinance as having an accelerated effective date.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the appropriation in the following account of the General Fund is reduced by the following amount:

23-1000-179990-B
Contingent Appropriation
$1,839,572.00

Section 2. That the sum of $1,839,572.00 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the General Fund to the following account:

23-1000-129998-X-907010
Transfer to City Legal Expense Fund
$1,839,572.00


Section 3. That the revenue in the following account of the City Legal Expense Fund is hereby estimated in the following amount:

23-7010-120000-501000
Transfer from the General Fund
$1,839,572.00


Section 4. That the sum of $1,839,572.00 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the City Legal Expense Fund to the following:

Section 5.
