Observing November 14-20, 2022, as Global Entrepreneurship Week in Kansas City, Missouri, and the world's largest celebration of entrepreneurs who pave the way for creativity and ingenuity in the workforce.

WHEREAS, GEW has spent 12 years helping millions of people seed and grow their businesses. Fostering a community of support for entrepreneurs in Kansas City and around the world is vital to creating, stimulating, and growing global and local economies. Global Entrepreneurship Week puts an emphasis on inspiring young adults to make their mark and has grown to engage entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, researchers, and support organizations advancing innovation and economic growth in over 180 countries; and

WHEREAS, Kansas City has grown economically in recent years, which creates even more of a reason to promote Global Entrepreneurship Week. Kansas City has seen a job market increase of 1.4% this year alone, and job growth is predicted to hit 32.5% the next ten years. Startup companies in Kansas City created 16,000 jobs in 2020 alone, and are expected to increase over the next couple years; and

WHEREAS, InnovateHER KC is dedicated to fostering the success of women all around Kansas City. Their dedication transcends industry, socioeconomic status, religion, race, and focuses on fostering a community of support of professional women in Kansas City. The InnovateHer KC team is a dedicated participant in the Global Entrepreneurship Week and has meaningful impact in the lives of young, female, entrepreneurs in Kansas City; and

WHEREAS, the City of Kansas City recognizes; Lauren Conaway, founder and CEO of InnovateHer KC, for her organization's commitment to the women of Kansas City's entrepreneurial battleground; NOW, THEREFORE,
