Adopting and authorizing the execution of the Collective Bargaining Agreement with Local 500 of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, AFL- CIO.

WHEREAS, Local 500 of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, AFL-CIO is recognized by the City as the exclusive bargaining agent for all regular full-time and part-time employees in all of the classifications listed in Schedule A of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, excluding supervisors, managerial employees and confidential employees and all temporary and seasonal employees; and

WHEREAS, the designated representatives of the City and Local 500 have met, conferred and discussed certain issues involving salaries and other conditions of employment and have reached tentative agreement on those issues; and

WHEREAS, the designated representatives of the City and Local 500 have tentatively agreed upon all of the provisions as set forth in a Collective Bargaining Agreement to be in force through April 30, 2026; and

WHEREAS, a majority of the membership of Local 500 of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, AFL-CIO have ratified this Collective Bargaining Agreement; NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the City and Local 500 of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, AFL-CIO to be in force through April 30, 2026 is hereby adopted. A copy of the Collective Bargaining Agreement is attached hereto and made a part hereof.

Section 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the above Collective Bargaining Agreement on behalf of the City.
