Accepting and approving a one year $269,601.00 grant with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services that provides funding for the Nurse Family Partnership Program.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That a contract between the City of Kansas City, Missouri, acting through its Director of Health, and the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, whereby the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services will provide funding for the Nurse Family Partnership, an evidence-based, community health program that serves high risk, low income, first time moms for the period beginning October 1, 2021 through September 30, 2022, for an amount not to exceed $269,601.00, is hereby accepted and approved. A copy of the agreement, in substantial form, is on file with the Director of Health.

Section 2. That the Director is hereby designated as requisitioning authority for Account No. 22-2480-505017-G50501722 and is hereby authorized to expend the sum of $154,086.00 from funds heretofore appropriated.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
