Honoring Johnetta Shelby on her retirement after 28 years and 11 months of dedicated service to the City of Kansas City, Missouri.

                      WHEREAS, Johnetta started work at the City on August 2, 1992, working such positions as Maintenance Worker, Information Processor II and III, Customer Services Representative, and Customer Services Specialist - all with the Water Services Department; and

 

WHEREAS, Johnetta looks forward to retirement so that she can travel, work in the church, and spend time with her grandchildren and family members; and

 

WHEREAS, July 31, 2021, marked the last day of Johnetta’s career with the City of Kansas City, Missouri; NOW, THEREFORE,

 

                     BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

That the Mayor and Council hereby extend to Ms. Johnetta Shelby, on the occasion of her retirement from City service, the heartiest best wishes for her future, together with appreciation for her 28 years and 11 months of dedicated service to the citizens of Kansas City; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the Council in testimony thereof and that a copy hereof be presented to Johnetta in token of the Mayor and Council’s respect and high regard, and their best wishes for the long and happy retirement which she so richly deserves.
